Winter in Zillertal

The valley of many times awarded ski resorts

In winter, everything in our valley in Tyrol revolves around skiing, snowboarding, glacier skiing, tobogganing, cross-country skiing and more.

Only a few minutes by car from our hut is the Horbergbahn lift, which will take you to the Penken ski area (Mayrhofner Bergbahnen) in "no time". But also the skiing areas Zillertal Arena (Zillertal's biggest skiing area) or Hochzillertal are easily reachable within a short time. The Hintertux Glacier can also be used for skiing all year round and is only about 15km away.

If you prefer a more leisurely pace, you will find many idyllic cross-country ski trails in the region to explore the landscape. Toboggan runs such as the longest natural toboggan run of the Zillertal (Hainzenberg) are opened during the day as well as in the evening for an extensive tobogganing party.
